So the husband left yesterday and I get home to a dirty house.
When I awoke this morning and was drinking my first cup of water it smelled way to bleachy. So I tested it. Sure as shit. He pit twice the amount of disinfectant in. So I called him. Total denial. So now I have to empty the tank, 3,000 gallon. And refill and treat. This means hand spud a hole through the ice, then dragging a heavy hose to the creek. Fuck.

What if you just dump HALF the water then top it off with fresh. Ought to be near normal, saves time and disinfectant too.

I will admit that I have never had to cut a hole though the ice to get water. You should write some posts about your daily life, it could be fascinating.
