I don't usually get presents for my birthday or valentines day
But when I do it's something my husband wants.

I give money and time. That way she gets what she wants and I don't have to guess. I would rather get a limo, some Champaign and go on a shopping trip with a woman, at some point we end up in Victoria's Secret anyway...win-win.

That would work for me. Also if no gifts were ever given only one that was from the heart and random.
